A very brief note for your Wednesday

Love, loss, and going on.

I had not intended to post anything this week, but I feel that I owe it to you, my faithful readers, to explain why I am not posting to either my Warrior Wednesday, Thorny Thursday, or Voyage of the Dawn Breaker sections.

On Friday of last week, we lost my dad to a pulmonary embolism, or more precisely, a mass of clots in his lungs. Since then, I have been in a strange state of mind as we have laid him to rest, had the memorial service, and are trying to put our lives back in order.

I haven’t had the heart to post anything, though I have started revising the “Voyage” story for republishing.

I will resume the Voyage stories, as well as Thorny Thursdays, next week.
